Safety Manager has a comprehensive electronic guide book that explains basic
concepts, the development of an OHS management system,
tools and techniques, and traps to avoid.
The guide book also includes a detailed chapter on the
requirements of each clause in AS/NZS 4801:2001 and OHSAS 18001 - from consultation and communication
with employees to preparing for and responding to emergencies. Each of these chapters
includes a brief summary,
followed by a more detailed discussion on implications and addressing requirements,
references to other compliance standards, at least one case study, a 5-step
activity plan (Understand, Plan, Document, Implement & Verify), and links to
sample documents and other tools that may be useful in addressing that particular aspect of
occupational health and safety.
